Garfield County District 2 interviews

Sopris Sun, 9/18/24

Caitlin Carey says she’s willing to protect our libraries while Perry Will says he would rather not talk about the issue. He didn’t disagree with how the BOCC took over filling library board of trustee positions and, as Colorado State Senator, Will voted against Colorado law SB24-216, a new law that requires the state’s public libraries to establish written policies for acquiring, retaining, displaying and using library resources and governing how to handle any requests to remove books or other resources.  Garfield County Public Libraries are in full compliance with Colorado state law.
